French Helsinki

Snurb — Thursday 19 August 2004 21:00
ISEA 2004 | Conferences |

This will be interesting: the next keynote speech will be delivered in French and translated into English by a Finnish translator. The speaker is Michel Maffesoli from the Sorbonne, speaking on postmodern tribes and communication.

Hmmm.

I must admit I don't seem to be getting much out of this. The stop-start delivery of translated speech just makes it difficult to follow and my French just isn't good enough to follow what is being said in the original. Hopefully there will be a transcript of this talk in the conference proceedings.
